Hi there,

I have been suffering from Spasmodic Dysphonia of the vocal chords for the past 8 years. It was brought on by my mother’s death. I went round the houses as most of the gp’s an specialists didn’t know what to do and it was classed as an anxiety disorder.

I have been having botox injections for the past y4ear after I was finally diagnosed with the correct condition. The last couple haven’t been great. They either don’t work for very long or they complete cut out my speech for 3-4 weeks.

So I am interested in the surgery option. Has anyone tried this and had success?

Cheers
