Hello everyone

After 33 years of no one being able to tell me why I walk funny my new GP referred me to a nerologist beginning of year. Well last week I finally got diagnosis of Dopa responsive dystonia. During the diagnosis process I was put on levadopa/sinemet. This made me really sicky. So last week I started madopar. Is anyone else on these? If so what's your experience.

Hello

When I first took Sinemet I initially took it with anti sickness medication. It takes the body a while to adjust to it sometimes. Even now I need a couple of mouthfuls of carbohydrate before each dose to counteract nausea.

I am stiller and have better control of my muscles with it. For me it's not the whole answer but it's a big help. I get a partial response. I can use my fingers and hands more easily.

If I miss a dose I get a headache, it acts as a helpful reminder.

Hope the M tablets help you.
