I am so unbelievably cross. I have Cervical Dystonia and have been under the care of the consultant and GP for a year who signed me unfit for work for the rest of this year. I claimed ESA, went for the assessment, which lasted about 20 minutes with a physiotherapist who had never heard of Dystonia and then was told yesterday that I do not qualify any longer. When I pointed out my sick note the person said he could not comment but suggested I apply for JSA. When I again pointed out my sick note he said ... "Don't worry they will probably give you exceptional circumstances and not ask you to try to find a job" "Then why" says I " have you just declared me fit enough to work if I am not." "I don't know and can't comment" My blood pressure levels must be at an all time high - I am so cross !! What an absolute farce and it really does nothing to help us does it.
