Online Awareness

Help us to raise awareness of dystonia by registering for our Thunderclap this Awareness Week. Last year we reached more than 20,000 people through Facebook; and with your help, this year we can do better.

Thunderclap is a website that co-ordinates sending messages out for groups of people. You register through your Twitter and/or Facebook account with them, and it sends out a message on your behalf at a set time. Our message is set to clap at 1.30pm on the Friday 9th May during Awareness Week. Here is the link to join the Thunderclap:

The message will be: 'Help us raise awareness of #dystonia, a neurological condition that causes muscle spasms. Do it for dystonia!'

We will also be uploading images that you can change your profile pictures and banners to so that you can spread awareness every time you post.

Dress for Dystonia Party!

Help up to kick Dystonia Awareness Week off in style this year by holding a Dress for Dystonia party! Our new 'Dress for Dystonia' parties are great ways to raise awareness and funds for dystonia amongst friends and are very green too! Each party guest brings clothes to exchange and are then able to browse what others have brought before making a donation for a stylish number! Go Green for Dystonia

Speaking of green - you may have noticed that green tends to be the Dystonia Society's colour of choice! Why not make it your colour of choice on Thursday 8th May by wearing green for the day and spreading awareness of dystonia. We were inspired by last years 'Go blue for dystonia' which Rebecca Moller took part in (she was our June Fundraiser of the Month) so we would love to see all your 'Go Green' photos this year! We will all be wearing green here at the Dystonia Society office in London so look out for our photos on facebook! If you'd like a Dystonia Society t-shirt to go green then take a look at our Merchandise page.

Hold a Tea Party

You can spread awareness in your workplace, school or local community by holding a tea party, coffee morning or cake stall. We'll be holding a cake stall in the foyer of the building where the London Office is situated on Tuesday 6th May and spreading awareness with every yummy cake sold!
